Allan Settles’ 1970 Ford Mustang Coupe is a great example of an old-school meets new-school mash-up. Making around 800 horsepower from the supercharged 347ci Ford V-8, this ‘Stang is no joke on South Georgia streets, especially once the Nitto drag radials get warmed up. Trinity Motorsports handled the lowered competition suspension and chassis setup, the Edlebrock wheels with Nitto tires, and the Dart Iron Eagle block build and swap, utilizing a Vortech T-trim cog drive supercharger, AFR 205 heads, and Comp Cam and rockers. Trinity Motorsports handled the tune by modifying a Holley carburetor for blow-thru, and the timing is programmed using a MSD Digital 7 ignition. We equipped this street machine with 4 wheel disc brakes, an 8.8″ differential with Moser axles, and a manual valve body AOD. This build has received numerous accolades, including landing on the cover of Modified Mustangs and Fast Fords June 2010.
